Tarot Operation: The Trump Assassination Attempt?

An ill wind riffles the cards the afternoon of 07122024

After taking a bit of a sabbatical from all things internet, decided to further simplify these operations from my diary. Leaving off the more detailed breakdown of symbols because that isn’t something that is done much at all in my notes (I personally just list them, I added some quick notes about the cards here for clarity). Instead of a pentagram of 5 cards, we draw a hexagram of 6 cards, which I’ve lately decided feels more complete. This also adds the element of cards in opposition, and different relational elements to the layout. Have also taken to using the old Waite pack as the imagery isn’t warped as much by Crowley’s individual take on its symbolism.

Since this writeup involves a political figure I’ll reiterate: I am not a partisan and do not involve myself or my emotions in mundane politics. Happy to vote for your school bond, not so happy to entertain the propaganda, rhetoric and bickering of any side.

Wards set

A prayer offered to Tahuti

Relevant sidereal sightings:
Sun in Gemini
Moon in Virgo
Mercury and Venus in Cancer

In retrospect Jupiter and Mars in Taurus seem relevant, but at the time I wasn’t inclined to consider that energy which in itself is relevant.

Cancer brings an already powerful influence of Mercury out from the formless beginnings of intuitive Mind, and a strong emotional intelligence comes with it.

The hexagram is drawn from the top, clockwise. Operation performed 07122024 at 2235. Recreated from notes upon returning home.

Page Wands (Earth of Fire)(Unrestrained, Unstable)
9 Pent (Ven-Virg)(Gain)
10 Sw (Sun-Gem)(Ruin)(Tis the season of the pure destructive power of the Sun)
Queen Wands (Water of Fire)(feminine energy of Aries “I Am”)
Hanged Man (Mem)
King Pentacles (Fire of Earth)(Powerful creature of avarice)

A terrible destructive event, involving many people, Page vs Queen with King
We’ll need to be careful in our dealings with others this weekend

Cards considered in turn

Page of Wands (Earth of Fire)
The pages are not balanced individuals, prone to swings of mood and action — they aren’t very good at self-regulation and don’t think twice about things very well, the living breathing embodiment of the Aces. This can be fun, spontaneity is sexy, but it can also be quite dangerous. The card in this case is poorly dignified (we’ll see why later), hinting at a person who lacks initiative, unproductive, acting impulsively, or even selfishly cruel when they act at all.

Nine of Pentacles
9 (Yesod) + Venus in Virgo = “Gain”
Specifically, the situation involves some sort of material gain. This need not involve money but sometimes does.

Ten of Swords
10 (Malkuth) + Sun in Gemini = “Ruin”
Always a bit of dread involved with this card. The Sun doesn’t like it here and it’s decided to focus its supreme destructive potential somewhere.

Queen of Wands (Water of Fire)
Rules the best part of Aries, cardinal fire, the first taste of the element as it manifests its purest form. Aries is truth and order and thus so is its Queen, but tempered by the feminine water energy. This is the matriarch, without which all of our works are pointless. Someone must keep things going in the house of human existence: her house, she makes the rules. A feminine aspect of the Emperor, who cares more than her father for social nuance and needs.

Key XII: The Hanged Man (Elemental Water)
The god sacrificed, restrained in a strange fashion. Here the element is destructive, the slow ritual death of dreams and unconscious longing that dwells in the spiritual sense of the element.

King of Pentacles (Fire of Earth)
Naked materialist, accustomed to being at the top of the heap. Their effort can be incongruent with their material worth, but often these creatures of avarice are a lot more busy than they seem. The Page of Pentacles is an unsophisticated farmhand, and this guy owns and operates the farm.

A shiftless person prone to rash action

A material gain of some kind is sought or acquired

A destructive event

A respected person whose good work serves the continuation of the social order

A spiritual (and possibly physical) destruction

A powerful person of material means

Cards considered in lines

The Page begins from the top of the star, opposed by the Queen
Gain is connected to The Hanged Man
The King is connected to Ruin
The Page is most strongly connected to the 10 and the Hanged Man
The Queen is most strongly connected to the 9 and the King

The interlocked triangles of the Seal of Solomon forms more interesting relationships

A shiftless person prone to rash action is victim and/or cause of a destructive event leading to a spiritual (and possibly physical) destruction. This is opposed or thwarted by a respected person whose good work serves the continuation of the social order, leading to a material gain of some kind that is sought or acquired, involving a powerful person of material means.

Does this analysis portend an assassination attempt on a former/future leader’s life? I’d be a fool if I said unequivocally that it does, and there are enough fools flipping tarot cards out there. I think it could. The drawing elicited some immediate intuitive feelings, namely a sinking feeling of dread and a strong feeling that this did not necessarily involve me, leading to heightened vigilance. Like a literary work, there are an infinite number of lenses through which one can analyze and interpret the thing. It is common that an operation does not reveal its meaning until later, if at all, the tarot doesn’t do specificity — it requires the context of the point of view of the ego. One can ask it questions, but the daemon that governs the output of the cards doesn’t operate in the same temporal universe we do and can be a bit mischievous, as daemons are naturally wont to be.

So ends our operation, I hope you enjoyed our time. Be well, take care out there, and know that as unpleasant as events and people may be, they are all fleeting, temporary manifestations within the implacable river of time.
